Our industry leading warranty offers a 3 month guarantee on all parts purchased from BM Spares, with the option to purchase additional coverage for up to 12 months.

Extended warranty + Labour warranty:

Extended/labour warranties are available for parts purchased through Authorised BMW Dealers & certain independent mechanics.*

Silver (6 month part and labour cover)

Coverage for a full 6 months from the time of purchase for the replacement of purchased parts.

For a full 6 months from the time of purchase, all labour expenses are covered.

Gold (12 month part and labour cover)

Coverage for a full 12 months from the time of purchase for the replacement of purchased parts.

For a full 12 months from the time of purchase, all labour expenses are covered.

* We only offer extended warranty on parts that are installed by a trusted/reputable mechanic or technician. We may choose not to offer extended warranty to enquiring parties.

When sourcing parts from BM Spares you can trust that they’ve been scrutinised through industry-leading quality control measures.

Our industry-leading quality control measures:

  • Buying only low mileage vehicles – typically under 80,000kms. Later in the model life cycle the mileage on available vehicles increases, however we try to cap purchases at 150,000kms.
  • Sourcing vehicles exclusively through the major auction houses Manheim and Pickles – as they provide better providence than wrecks purchased privately.
  • Performing pre-dismantling checks on vehicles: engine, drivetrain, wheels, electronic systems, etc.
  • Each part individually inspected & graded.
  • Stock stored in a dry-warehouse.

Warranty terms and conditions

The BM Spares warranty is in addition to the rights and remedies conferred on consumers by the Australian Consumer Law. The warranty does not affect those rights or remedies, except to the extent their application may lawfully be excluded. Individual parts listed are subject to stock availability. BM Spares offer the parts to the purchaser and the purchaser agrees to purchase the goods pursuant to the terms and conditions set out below. The agreed terms and conditions shall be read to limit our liability the full extent permitted under Australian Consumer Law.

  1. BM Spares, to the extent parts are defective, provides: (a) a 6-month guarantee defective on parts purchased for private use vehicles; and (b) a 3-month parts guarantee for parts purchased for commercial or combined commercial and private use vehicles such as taxis, couriers and ride share vehicles.
  2. Parts returned under warranty must be complete as sold. The warranty is void if parts are altered, dismantled or have been otherwise tampered with by a person not authorized by BM Spares.
  3. At its option, BM Spares will repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of the defective part.
  4. A maximum of $75 (incl. GST) labour rate is payable on any warranty claims. Publications such as times guide and dealer information will be used to determine set times for labour charges. The part must be checked before fitment as BM Spares will not be liable for labour costs for removal. All labour claims must be approved in advance by BM Spares Warranty Manager.
  5. All engine and driveline seals must be replaced, oil or fluid leaks are not covered under warranty.
  6. Modern transmissions require recoding using dealership grade software, BM Spares is not liable for the calibration of transmissions. It is an BM Spares requirement that new transmission service kits and fluid be fitted.
  7. All turbochargers must have their feed line replaced prior to, or during the installation process. Warranty is void if failure due to oil starvation occurs.
  8. All parts supplied by BM Spares are sold with a unique BM Spares identifier. Warranty is void if the unique identifier has been altered, removed or tampered with in anyway.
  9. In the event BM Spares denies a warranty claim, such as where the purchaser has contributed to the failure, BM Spares reserves the right to recover out of pocket expenses incurred in reviewing the claim including freight and or dismantling and inspection costs and BM Spares may hold onto the Purchaser pays BM Spares such out of pocket expenses.
  10. Warranty does not apply to accessories and non-standard inclusions or any part that is attached to the engine, including but not limited to turbo charges, switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, oil seals and manifolds.
  11. Warranty does not apply to transmissions, differentials and final drive components that have broken gears or have been subject to accident, misuse, neglect or use inconsistent with its intended purpose.
  12. The warranty cover does not extend to damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, natural disaster or act of God or other external causes or to damage caused by using the parts inconsistently from their intended purpose.
  13. BM Spares holds no responsibility for the fitment of incorrect parts. In most cases we will offer a fitment checking service, however the onus is ultimately on the fitter to ensure that the parts supplied are correct for fitment once the faulty parts have been removed.
  14. Approval for repair or replacement of a rusted, failed or defective part must be provided by BM Spares prior to any work being performed.
  15. Additional warranty (extended warranty and labour warranty) must be explicitly approved by BM Spares prior to sale, or be defined explicitly in an ongoing agreement between BM Spares and the purchasing party. BM Spares may choose not to offer additional warranty to enquiring parties.
  16. Additional warranty will be void if the vehicle misses any service intervals or is serviced by any party other than the company that performed the installation of the part.
  17. Any other warranty terms stipulated at the point of sale apply, verbal and non-verbal. This is particularly relevant for control units and other electronics that may be sold on the basis they require reprogramming to be completed by an independent specialist programmer.
  18. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to choose a refund or replacement.
